TERMI NALIA
Terminalia è un progetto itinerante che attraversa i luoghi interni e di frontiera, propri dell'entroterra marchigiano: frazioni spopolate, colpite dalle scosse sismiche degli ultimi anni. Scegliendo un approccio nomade/stanziale, Terminalia ha attivato dei cantieri-evento in ogni Comune in cui ha sostato per le sue investigazioni, durante il quale l'incontro tra artigiani, artisti, scrittori e semplici cittadini ha permesso uno scambio di saperi e opinioni.
Tafano è stato coinvolto alla residenza per due anni consecutivi (2018-2019), con una proposta di rassegna che toccasse i temi del nomadismo e della fiaba. Grazie al supporto dell'artista Jacopo Belloni e della sua scultura mezzo Helley (un carro metamorfico realizzato in legno e ferro), Tafano è riuscito a portare il cinema nella piazza del comune di Monte San Martino.
Nei pomeriggi assolati, in attesa delle proiezioni, Tafano ha sviluppato un laboratorio realizzando delle "maschere naturali" assieme ai piccoli abitanti del paese, che sono servite ad ornare i duellanti del fatidico Torneo del biliardino di Monte San Martino. Non ci sono stati feriti.
“Terminalia” is an itinerant project that crosses the internal and border areas, typical of the Marche hinterland: depopulated hamlets hit by the earthquakes of recent years. Choosing a nomadic/sedentary approach, “Terminalia” has activated construction sites-events in every municipality where it stopped for its investigations, during which the meeting between artisans, artists, writers and ordinary citizens allowed an exchange of knowledge and opinions.
Tafano has been involved in the residency for two consecutive years (2018-2019), with a proposal for an exhibition that touches the themes of nomadism and the fairy tale. Thanks to the support of the artist Jacopo Belloni and his sculpture/vehicle “Helley” (a metamorphic chariot made of wood and iron), Tafano managed to bring the cinema to the town square of Monte San Martino.
In the sunny afternoons, waiting for the screenings, Tafano has developed a laboratory creating "natural masks" together with the small inhabitants of the village, which served to decorate the duelists of the fateful Tournament of Monte San Martino. There were no injuries.
